OUR PROCESS

Collection
Gather discarded wine bottles and other glass bottles suitable for upcycling.

Sorting
Sort the collected bottles based on color (e.g. clear, green, brown) to ensure uniformity in the final product.

Cleaning
Thoroughly clean the bottles to remove labels, adhesive residues, and any remaining liquids.

BETTER

Bottle glass is thicker and heavier than mass-produced glassware and it feels substantial the moment you pick it up. Nine steps of cutting, grinding, smoothing and fire-polishing make it ready for daily life, dishwasher included.

Cutting
Use glass-cutting tools to carefully cut the bottles into desired shapes, such as glasses, vases, or other decorative items.

Grinding & smoothing
After cutting, use fire polishing to smooth and refine the edges of the cut glass pieces.

Annealing
Place the finished glass items in a kiln or oven to anneal them. Annealing ensures that the glass cools down slowly, reducing internal stresses and making it more durable.
